The Amalfi Coast is not only sea, but also trekking. The Path of the Gods winds from Agerola to Positano, crossing the luxuriant nature of the hills overlooking the crystal clear sea and the characteristic villages. A walk of 3 hours for 8 kilometers that allows you to enjoy extraordinary views and discover different aspects of the territory: lemon groves on typical terraces, ancient hermitages and a lush Mediterranean maquis of holm oaks, arbutus, heather and rosemary. Wonderful is the natural reserve of the Valley of Ferriere, among ruins of ancient medieval ironworks, woods, streams and waterfalls, and the antique water mills that fed the work of paper mills. The route, easy and suitable for everyone, lasts 3 hours.
Departure is from Praia beach every day. Along the inlets of the coast and the fiord of Furore, it leads to the Grotta dello Smeraldo in Conca dei Marini. After a dip in the clear waters of the Isola Li Galli, it continues to Positano, shopping stop among the characteristic streets and the beautiful stores famous for the “Positano fashion”. After about five hours of free time, return is by the boat coming from Capri.
From Praia beach or from Positano ships leave for Capri. The boat is equipped with all comforts and from the solarium you can admire the coast, one of the most beautiful views in the world. The port of Positano gives the opportunity to observe, from the bottom to the top, the characteristic pyramid of colored houses embedded in the hill. The drive then crosses the Sorrento coast to Punta Campanella (final part of the Gulf of Salerno and beginning of the Gulf of Naples), from where the city of Sorrento, Vesuvius, Naples and the Faraglioni of Capri can be seen. Return is scheduled for late afternoon.
Full day excursion with guide. The largest of the islands of the Gulf of Naples, it is called “the green island” for its lush vegetation. Its nature essentially volcanic makes it a unique island in the world for the great variety of thermal springs and radioactive sources, spread all through the territory. Upon arrival in Ischia Porto starts a tour of the island of two hours, by private bus, through Ischia Porto, Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno, Forio, Barano, Serrara Fontana. Lunch and free time until the boat leaves for the return trip.
Full day excursion with guide, every day, with departure from the hotel. Pompeii was destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, submerged by a mountain of lapillus and ash. The visit to the Excavations will give the opportunity to observe the innumerable discovers well preserved in time, which still today exhibit the prosperity that the city enjoyed in the past. After the visit, optional lunch at the restaurant and continuation to Vesuvius. By bus you will reach an altitude of 1,000 m. and then walk to the crater for the visit with local guides.
Full day excursion with guide by Gran Turismo bus, with departure from the hotel. Travelling along the Amalfi Coast, it reaches Positano and, during a short stop on a panoramic terrace, you can admire scenery of incomparable beauty. The second stop is in Sorrento, one of the most sought after tourist destinations of the Province of Naples. Free time to discover the old town, to go shopping and visit an inlaid wood factory. Optional lunch at the restaurant and continuation to Herculaneum. This ancient city was submerged by a large mass of eruptive material mixed with mud during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. What can be admired today, after the excavations, is the remains of a very wealthy town, rich of bronzes, marbles and silver. Return to the hotel after the visit.
Full day excursion with guide, every Thursday, departing from the hotel. Paestum, one of the most famous centers of Magna Grecia, is an archaeological site of great importance. The tour discovers the eloquent vestiges of its prestigious power: the majestic Doric columns of the Temples dedicated to Neptune and Ceres, the remains of the Basilica, the remnants of the robust walls. Also, the museum houses rare finds and valuable paintings.
